Companion Animal Placement Assistance (CAPA) - CAPA’s mission is to provide all animals that pass through the Lompoc Animal Shelter with humane care while working to find them a permanent, loving home.

Pet lovers can search for a pet that best matches their needs. They can then reference a shelter’s Web page and discover the services it offers. Petfinder also includes classified ads, discussion forums and a library of animal welfare services.

Rescuers is a full service rescue, with dogs coming in from all over the Southern California area for foster care services. Not only do they provide care for the dogs while they are waiting for adoption, but they provide follow-up assistance for the life of the dog.

1/4 cup baking soda

1 tsp. soap (Dawn)

1 quart water

1 cup 3% hydrogen peroxide

Wash pet with regular shampoo and rinse. Apply skunk wash and let soak for 5 minutes. Then rinse and dry pet. This will weaken the odor.
