Companion Animal Placement Assistance (CAPA) - CAPA’s mission is to provide all animals that pass through the Lompoc Animal Shelter with humane care while working to find them a permanent, loving home.

Petfinder is an online, searchable database of animals who need homes. It is also a directory of more than 13,000 animal shelters and adoption organizations across the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Pet lovers can search for a pet that best matches their needs. They can then reference a shelter’s Web page and discover the services it offers. Petfinder also includes classified ads, discussion forums and a library of animal welfare services.

Rescuers is a full service rescue, with dogs coming in from all over the Southern California area for foster care services. Not only do they provide care for the dogs while they are waiting for adoption, but they provide follow-up assistance for the life of the dog.

Boxer Rescue L.A. is an organization founded in 1977 that maintains two fully staffed kennels housing Boxers. Dedicated volunteers run the rescue and adoption/placement of Boxers.

Pet Harbor's goals are to provide mechanisms for adopting pets or helping to reunite pets who are lost, with their owners.
